Influenza is still going up! Most indicators say that COVID is still slowly trending down, but the number in hospital (which is what I consider one the most meaningful measures) is slowly going up.
Charts
From the BC CDC Situation Report:

Note: don’t get too excited about the approximately zero deaths: there were zero deaths listed last week also, and it was just because the data was late coming in. 🙁 The death rate is way down, just not down as far as it looks.
Comparison vs. Other Influenza-Like-Illnesses, from the Viral Pathogen Characterization page:

In the most recent data (ending 22 Feb) as reported on 27 Feb 2025, among influenza-like illness (i.e upper respiratory diseases) cases the province has test data for:
- 73.4% were influenza A or B;
- 12.8% were RSV;
- 3.6% were COVID-19;
- 2.9% were entero/rhinoviruses;
- 4.1% were “common cold” coronaviruses;
- adenoviruses, metapneumonia viruses, and parainfluenza were all under 2%.
