Mitigation Measures
This article says that the province has walked back their statement on unvaccinated people: unvaccinated people really do have to isolate for TEN days. (Maybe a staffer’s fingers slipped?) I am pleased.
Transmission
The BC COVID-19 Modelling Group has released another report. They think that:
- We will see ~50K cases per day at the end of January.
- Hospitalizations will peak at about 2000/day in the first week of February.
Statistics
Today: +2,150 cases, +15 deaths, +2,961 first doses, +2,001 second doses, +54,080 other doses.
Currently 891 in hospital / 119 in ICU, 34,835 active cases, 265,765 recovered.
Positivity rate of 18.1%, down a lot from 19.6% yesterday.
