Last week’s BC CDC weekly report (dated 2 July) said that the week ending on 2 July there were: +765 cases, +172 hospital admissions, +24 all-cause deaths.

I do not know anything about the XAC lineage except that it is mostly seen in Canada, appears to be a recombination of BA.1 and BA.2, and it was first sequenced on 11 Jan 2022.
