Long COVID
This preprint from China says that:
- The proportion of previously hospitalized patients with COVID who had symptoms dropped from 68% at six months to 49% at 12 months.
- The proportion with fatigue increased slightly, from 28% at 6 months to 30% at 12 months.
- 88% had returned to work after 12 months.
- Women were 43% more likely than men to have fatigue, twice as likely to be depressed, and three times as likely to have a certain type of breathing impairment called diffusion impairment (which measures how well lungs pull oxygen out of an air sample).
