The province says this is the last weekly data update until Fall (except for wastewater). The Viral Respiratory Outcomes page and the Pathogen Characterization pages will be updated on the first Thursday of the month.
Vaccines
According to this social media post (2026-05-07), there have been some trouble with the vaccine reservation system. You can call 1-833-838-2323 to set up an appointment instead.
Charts
From the Viral Respiratory Outcomes page (updated 7 May 2026 with data through 2 May):

From the Viral Pathogen Characterization page:

The province revised last week’s COVID-19 numbers up quite a bit in relative terms, from 39 to 47. Still, in absolute terms, that’s still a small number. Maybe it’s noise.
Enterovirus/Rhinovirus is drifting upwards, which doesn’t surprise me much. Enterovirus/Rhinovirus circulates year-round.

In the most recent data (ending 25 April 2026) as reported on 30 April 2026, among influenza-like illness (i.e respiratory diseases) cases that the province has test data for:
- 30.0% were influenza A or B (mostly B);
- 13.6% were RSV;
- 24.4% were entero/rhinoviruses;
- 10.8% were COVID-19;
- 6.5% were “common cold” coronaviruses;
- 4.4% were metapneumonia viruses;
- 7.8% were parainfluenza;
- 2.5% were adenoviruses.
Wastewater
Vancouver is still showing zero COVID-19 in the wastewater; Richmond is showing a tiny little bit, too small to be visible in the chart below but non-zero. This makes me think that maybe their previous zeroes were not a data handling problem.
Meanwhile, Fraser is trending up slightly but is still quite low.
