Variants
The BC CDC Weekly Data Summary says that the Delta (“India”, B.1.617.2) variant represents ~3% of VOCs (as of May 27). That’s good! Beta (“South Africa”, B.1.351) appears to have completely (almost-completely?) disappeared.
Vaccination
BC continues to get vaccinated at high rates, per this image from the BC CDC Weekly Data Summary:
This tweet says that as of May 31st, 20% of kids aged 12 to 17 gotten a first dose of vax. (I couldn’t find out where he got that factoid from, but he’s reliable, and it looks believable from the above graph.)
This article says that there are a fair number of teens asking for help getting a vaccination without letting their parents know.
