Cases are going up, hospitalizations are up, positivity is up, wastewater is… being strange.
COVID-19 Statistics
Edit: when I published this, I erroneously gave statistics for the previous month. I updated the numbers on 1 August when I discovered it.
As of um some date? probably 4 July, the BC CDC situation report says that in the week ending on 23 June there were: +435 reported cases, 170[1] hospital admissions, 17.5[1] ICU admissions, and +12 thirty-day all-cause deaths*, later 34[1] all-cause deaths.
In the week ending 16 June, they report that there were +417 reported cases, 151[1] hospital admissions, 7 ICU[1] admissions, and +36 thirty-day all-cause deaths* — later 27[1] deaths.
In the week ending 9 June, they report that there were +404 reported cases, 146[1] hospital admissions, 23[1] ICU admissions, and +23 thirty-day all-cause deaths*.
*All-cause deaths in people who had a positive COVID-19 test in the prior 30 days, that is.
[1] Back-calculated given numbers retrieved from the situation report on 1 August.
There were 204 people in hospital and and 14 people in critical care with COVID-19 on 4 July.
