COVID-19 levels, by any measure, are very low. Case counts are rising slowly, but from a very low level.

Most pathogens are at a really low level. Parainfluenza had a little wave in end May/early June, but historically it looks like that’s what it does (and the absolute case counts are small).
COVID-19, however, is clearly rising, although the case count is still really low in absolute terms:
In the most recent data (ending 1 August 2026) as reported on 6 August 2026, among respiratory virus cases that the province has test data for:
- 31.0% were entero/rhinoviruses;
- 30.0% were COVID-19;
- 19.5% were influenza A or B (mostly A);
- 9.5% were parainfluenza;
- 4.5% were adenoviruses;
- 3.0% were metapneumonia viruses;
- 1.5% were RSV;
- 1.0% were “common cold” coronaviruses.
Wastewater
Wastewater in Vancouver and North Shore seem to be holding steady; Fraser Health might be going up, it might be noise, it’s hard to tell.
