Mitigation Measures

This article (2026-03-23) reports that most Canadians thought the federal government did a good job on the pandemic. 67% of people in BC thought that the province did a good job.

I would agree. Just about everybody (including me) is mad at the province’s Ministry of Health for one thing or another, but I feel like Dr. Henry shut down the right things (places where people congregated indoors, especially ones where people drank) and kept the right things open. In many jurisdictions, you weren’t allowed to leave your house, or had very detailed restrictions on how often you were allowed to leave. We were always able to go shopping in BC, and Dr. Henry enthusiastically encouraged us to go outside.

Charts

Wastewater

Wastewater is still wobbling short-term, but the medium-term looks pretty stable. I think the wobbles are just noise.
