Vaccines
Good news! The US CDC has released a report which says that the mRNA vaccines prevent infection well, not just symptoms. In other words, if you get a vaccination, you’re unlikely to be a carrier and get other people sick. Not only that, but the mRNA is 80% effective after just one dose, yay! (90% after two doses.) Only 11% of the ones who got sick were completely asymptomatic, but only 23% of the ones who got sick required hospitalization.
This infographic shows where all the pieces for vaccines come from. It’s a long list, and while China, the EU, and the US dominate, there are quite a few other countries on there. I don’t think the EU is going to be able to embargo the Pfizer vaccine.
