This blog started to give summaries of news articles and research papers about the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on things people in BC would care about. For example, COVID-19 biochemical characteristics, results of vaccine trials, strain mutations, consequences of getting COVID-19, Canadian vaccine approvals, BC epidemiology, BC mitigation measures, etc.
I have expanded it to pandemics in general, with information about avian flu, human influenza, mpox, Ebola, etc.
Expect to see very little information about how pandemics is affecting other countries, except how it affects Canada. For example, if a Variant of Concern starts ripping through the Washington State, that would likely be included in the blog. What’s happening in Mongolia is probably not going to be included, unless it’s an outbreak which is dangerous enough that it hopping to Canada would be bad.
If you are looking for a compilation of why you don’t want to catch COVID-19, look at What COVID-19 does to your Body or look at Augie Ray’s spreadsheet of research papers.
